Meet Chris Lambert
In therapy with me, clients can expect openness, curiosity, non-judgment, and a desire to work together to get to the root of their problems.
I am regularly inspired by clients who want to lead more fulfilling lives and gain awareness of what may be getting in their way. I know what it feels like to be stuck in life and confused as to how to move forward.
My approach to therapy is informed by psychodynamic, relational, and existential perspectives. I believe that therapy can be more than just a way to reduce symptoms – it can increase self-knowledge and improve one’s overall quality of life.
Therapy can be hard work, but I have experienced how powerful it can be in shifting the way we look at our lives.
Before becoming a therapist, I was a professional guitarist, playing jazz, rock, folk, and several other styles.
I found that music was capable of tapping into emotions and creating experiences that were otherwise difficult to access.
I had an interest in learning how music could be used as a form of treatment for mental health issues, which led me to become a music therapist. As a music therapist, I gained extensive experience working with addiction recovery, at-risk youth, adult psychiatric care, and elderly care.
As I expanded my practice, my focus shifted to working primarily with adults feeling stuck in their careers, struggling in relationships, or lacking connection with people in their lives.
